Why Buy in Centennial?

Centennial real estate is a great investment. Why? Because whether you're purchasing a new Centennial home, an antique-style Centennial estate, or a Centennial foreclosure property, you know that you're getting the best that the Denver metro area has to offer: clean, safe neighborhoods, friendly people, a convenient commute, and stunning natural beauty.

Denver, capitol city of Colorado, is just a short commute to the north of Centennial. Denver's attractions are too many to list: everything a cosmopolitan city might be expected to offer can be found in Denver. A few of the most notable attractions are the Denver Art Museum, the Colorado State Historical Museum, the Denver Museum of Natural History, a U.S. Mint, Coors Field (home of the Colorado Rockies), Mile High Stadium (home of the Broncos), and the Denver Performing Arts complex. The University of Denver and the University of Colorado Medical School are also located here, along with several other institutions of higher learning.

The Denver Metro area is a paradise for the weekend warriors. Just a short distance from your Centennial real estate you'll find several national parks and wildlife refuges, as well as a great number of parks and recreational areas. The Rocky Mountain National Park lies about 65 miles from Denver, and is a wonderfully accessible piece of the Colorado Wilderness. Trail Ridge Road is a necessary drive: it will take you to an altitude of over 12,000 feet, where the landscape is almost tundra-like. There are also countless hiking trails, campsites, and equestrian trails.

Closer to your Centennial home is the Cherry Creek State Park, where you'll find over 12 miles of paved trails and over 35 total miles of multi-use trails for horseback riding, hiking and biking. Cherry Creek campground boasts over 125 sites and three group sites. At Cherry Creek Lake, you'll find the prestigious Cherry Creek Marina and Yacht Club, with its full-service wedding and banquet facilities. The Marina also has boat and jet ski rental facilities, as well as kayaks and canoes.

One of the true gems of the United States forest system is the White River National Forest, a spectacular 2.3 million acre wilderness less than 30 miles west of Denver in the Rocky Mountains. The well-known towns of Aspen and Vail are adjacent; here, you can find a hotel for after your day hikes or whitewater rafting adventure, or you can stock up on supplies for your wilderness backpacking trip. During the winter, when the passes are clogged with snow, you can still find plenty to do in White River. Skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling are all popular activities.
